Real estate agents have 3 ways to get business and make money: 


1?? Wait for it: ???? This means sitting around, hoping for referrals, phone calls, or someone stumbling upon you.

2?? Buy it: ???? This involves purchasing leads, paying for mailers, or running ads to attract business.

3?? Earn it: ???? This is where the real action happens!

 - Make phone calls ????

 - Host open houses ???? 

 - Knock on doors ????

 - Social networking ????

 - Build and work your database every day ????

 - Tap into your sphere for referrals ????


Option #3 has some cool perks. Anyone can do it, and you don't need loads of cash. It has the potential to be super profitable since you're investing your time and energy instead of dollars. Plus, you have the opportunity to develop real skills that will make you millions over the course of your career. 


Ironically, many agents lean towards options 1 and 2. Maybe because they seem easier or less work? Or perhaps #3 scares them because it means taking responsibility for results?


If I were starting fresh or trying to get ahead in a tough market, I'd bet on myself and go all-in on option #3—putting in the effort to earn my business and develop myself!
